Watershed joins the Bristol Apartheid-Free Zone
Bristol Apartheid-Free Zone are delighted to announce that Watershed have signed our pledge and joined our community boycott of apartheid produce in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
This unprecedented decision follows the efforts of staff, through their trade union Bectu, to encourage Watershed’s signature. Crucial too has been the overwhelming and increasing support for Palestine across Bristol organised by the BAFZ campaign. More than 4,000 individuals have pledged their support for local businesses and organisations that join the boycott.
Watershed’s participation is further proof that the people of Bristol stand opposed to Israel’s apartheid and genocide, and to the British government’s continued complicity.
Watershed has long provided an important platform for Palestinian voices; their decision to join our campaign further cements their commitment to peace and justice. We are proud to have them on board and look forward to working alongside them in the future.
