Start your own Apartheid-Free Zone
A year ago, Bristol residents launched an Apartheid-Free Zone in response to the genocide in Gaza and our own government’s inaction. Inspired by Bristol’s resistance to apartheid in South Africa, we started asking neighbours and shops to boycott Israeli goods.
Since then, we’ve had thousands of conversations, built door-knocking teams across 9 areas of the city, and now have nearly 4000 residents and 70 shops on board.
As Israel escalates its violence and the UK government offers only empty words, we must get organised.
We have already seen the impact this is having in our city – not just economically – but in the thousands of people we speak to that have been inspired to mobilise and take action for Palestine.
We want to see apartheid-free zones all across the country and make it as easy as possible for you to start one in your area.
